Kite World Tour - PKRA- 2013 Schedule is up!

Last year PKRA had many spectacular battles. The results were tight and until the last runs no one knows who would be the winner. Let's follow the new set of competitions and  take a look at the new PKRA schedule that was just released. There are 11 total PKRA competitions scheduled for the 2013 year.

Dakhla Kiteboarding World Cup

The competition will take place at Dakhla Attitude Hotel, Dakhla , Morocco. The disciplines are Freestyle and wave. The dates are March 19,2013 - March 24,2013. Riders will be fighting for a prize pool of $47000.

Organizers message: The Kiteboarding World Cup Dakhla , returns in 2013 to the PKRA World Tour as the inaugural event of the year.  This amazing kiteboarding paradise is becoming a classic in the PKRA World Tour, and for 2013 will be hosting the Freestyle World Cup Discipline at the Dakhla Attitude Camp Lagoon, known for its steady strong winds and flat water, which make it a pristine freestyle location. The expectation will be at its highest in Dakhla when all the freestyle riders come back to competition from the off season training. The question on everyone’s mind is who will win the first event of the year.

 In addition Dakhla will offer a PKRA wave event as a second discipline at the Dakhla town wave spot, know for its long perfect right hand brake.  The wave event is open to all wave riders in the world, and during this time of the year the probability of getting good waves and wind are great, which make it the perfect opportunity for all riders to prove their skills in the waves at the top level.

Mondial Du Vent 2013

The competition will take place at  La Franqui- Leucate, France. The discipline is Freestyle. The dates are April 20,2013 - April 25,2013. Riders will be fighting for a prize pool of €37000.

Organizers message:The Mondial du Vent will be celebrating its 17th Birthday, which makes it the longest going kiteboarding competition in the world as well as the biggest kiteboarding event in France. This will be the 6th year the Mondial du vent is part of the PKRA world tour, and over the last 5 years with its extremely strong winds it has proven to be one of the most challenging events in the tour for all the riders. This year it won’t be any different at Port Lecuate, and will promise to be another great freestyle show for the spectators.    2012 Event Winner Alex Pastor from Spain, as well as 4 times event winner Gisela Pulido from Spain will get a chance to defend their title against the current World Champions Youri Zoon from the Netherlands and Karolina Winkowska from Poland.

Burn Kiteboarding World Cup 2013 - Race + Kitemasters

In Burc Beach, Gumusdere, Istanbul on Jun-19-2013 --- Jun-23-2013 Racing for the prize pool of  $22,500

2013 marks the year PKRA will start the new and exciting Slalom World Tour. Burc Beach will make history by hosting the first event of this amazing discipline.  As an added attraction a Freestyle Kitemasters Competition will be held with a $12,000 USD Prize Purse.

Marsala Kitesurf World Championships 2013

 In Riserva Dello Stagnone, Marsala, Sicily, Italy on Jun-25-2013 --- Jun-30-2013 riders will fight for €37000 in freestyle discipline. 

Italy is coming back to the PKRA World Tour with the Marsala Kitesurf World Championship 2013.  The beautiful Island of Sicily will host this amazing event with some of the best kiteboarding conditions in Italy. Italian hero and current number 3 in the world rankings Alberto Rondina will give its best to take the gold at the Italian event.

The Beetle Kitesurf World Cup 2013

 In St. Peter-ording (north Sea, Germany) on Jul-12-2013 --- Jul-21-2013 riders will participate in the following disciplines:  PKRA World Cup Freestyle,  PKRA World Cup Slalom,  AirStyle

Returning to St. Peter Ording, Germany, for the 8th year running, the PKRA World Tour will reemerge on July 12th for a spectacular Grand Slam Event, which will include three main disciplines - a Freestyle World Cup, a Course Racing World Tour stop, and an Airstyle World Championship event. Recognized as one of the biggest and most well-organized kiteboarding events on the planet, the Beetle Kitesurf World Cup 2013 will feature the most talented riders in the world.

Fuerteventura Kiteboarding PKRA Grand Slam 2013

 In Rene Egli Center, Playa Sotavento. on Jul-30-2013 --- Aug-03-2013 riders will fight for €42000 in Freestyle

Egypt Kite-boarding World Championship 2013

In  El Gouna Mangrove Beach, Hurghada on Oct-30-2013 --- Nov-03-2013 riders will compete in freestyle for the prize pool of $37000

2013 PKRA World Tour Haikou Event/Hainan International Kitesurf Festival

 In Haikou. Hainan Island. China on Nov-12-2013 --- Nov-17-2013 riders will compete in Freestyle and Race for the prize pool of $47000

Noumea Kitesurf Pro

 In Pointe Magnin, Noumea New-caledonia on Nov-20-2013 --- Nov-24-2013 riders will compete in Freestyle for the prize pool of $37000

PKRA Australia/ Perth

 In Leighton Beach, Perth, Western Australia on  Nov-27-2013 -- Dec-01-2013  Riders will compete in Freestyle and Race for the prize pool of $47000

Cape Town Kite And Windsurf World Cup
